Pre-posting training for Government of New Zealand employees with a confirmed posting assignment abroad.

Design process: 

Phase 1: Needs Assessment and Understanding:

  • Conduct a comprehensive analysis of learners' needs through surveys, interviews, and data analysis.

  • Evaluate learners' backgrounds, considering prior knowledge, skills, and experiences.

  • Gather and document learners' expectations and desired outcomes.

Deliverable: Needs Assessment Report summarizing findings and recommendations.

Phase 2: Project Outline Design:

  • Develop a detailed project outline, incorporating insights from the needs assessment.

  • Outline learning objectives, content structure, and delivery methods tailored to meet identified needs.

Deliverable: Project Outline Document for client review and approval.

Phase 3: Project Development:

  • Curate relevant learning resources, including multimedia, case studies, and interactive elements.

  • Utilize diverse instructional methods to accommodate various learning styles.

  • Create formative assessments to gauge ongoing progress.

  • Develop summative assessments to measure overall learning outcomes.

Deliverable: Interactive Learning Modules, Formative and Summative Assessment Tools.

Phase 4: Training Delivery:

  • Implement the designed learning modules through a user-friendly platform.

  • Facilitate live or asynchronous sessions, ensuring engagement and interaction.

  • Monitor learner progress and provide support as needed.

  • Conduct formative assessments during the training.

Deliverable: Live or Recorded Training Sessions, Progress Reports.

Phase 5: Evaluation and Feedback:

  • Distribute post-training evaluation forms to gather feedback.
